There is this door that you keep knocking on,
a door so tightly shut.
You wait here for it to open,
I look at you in wonder.
Sometimes you turn around,
thinking you should walk away.
“Give me the strength to move”,
I hear when you softly say.
This time that you feel passing,
Is your life, your years, your days.
This world that you see moving,
Is your, don’t give it away.
This door so tightly shut,
won’t open, my mind keeps thinking.
But my heart says it will unlatch,
so does the sun, the wind, the rain.
Did you break someone’s heart?
or are you the broken one?
I have so much to ask,
but I can’t, seeing your eyes so numb.
This door that you keep knocking on,
who is on the other side?
can’t they hear you screaming?
crying for one last try.
Oh dear, when i look at you
I see so much pain my heart just melts.
I see love and faith and patience.
I see a person who would never give up.
I hope that this door opens,
and you find what you are looking for.
I give you all my wishes,
for your heart has waited too long.

More than a thought that counts…
